Delaine is the founding partner of Mountain & Mountain. Born in Pisgah, Alabama, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama, and his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law.
Delaine is a member of the Tuscaloosa County (President, 1983-1984) and American Bar Associations, Alabama State Bar, Tuscaloosa Trial Lawyers Association (President, 1984-1985), Alabama Trial Lawyers Association (Member, Executive Committee, 1978; President, 1989-1990), and The Association of Trial Lawyers of America (Member, State Delegate, Board of Governors, 1990-1991). He has also been an instructor of Legal Studies at the University of Alabama, was listed in Who’s Who in American Law, was a Master Bencher for the American Inns of Court, and was selected as One of The Best Lawyers in America, 1995-1996 Publication.
From 1971-1973, Delaine served as the city prosecutor for the city of Tuscaloosa and from 1973-1977 he was the Public Safety Commissioner for the city of Tuscaloosa. Delaine is a Board Certified Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and a member of the American Trial Lawyers College of Trial Advocacy (Faculty Member, 1990-1996). Delaine is admitted to all state and federal courts in Alabama, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
